Kuwait’s Al Ahli Bank’s chairman resigns due to ill health.

Ahmed Yousef Behbehani the chairman of Kuwait’s Al Ahli Bank has resigned due health issues said a bourse statement.
Behbehani’s resignation will be effective as of December 24, 2015.

Talal Mohamed Reda Yousef, deputy chairman has been entitled to replace Behbehani, added the statement.


Late – November, Kuwait Court of Appeal has cut insider trading fine against Kuwait’s Al-Ahli Bank Chairman to KWD 100,000 from KWD1.5 million imposed earlier according to a bourse statement.

Meanwhile, early – March, the Court of First Instance has imposed a fine of KWD1.5 million against the bank’s Chairman Ahmed Yousuf Behbehani following a complaint by the Kuwait Capital Markets Authority.

At the time Behbehani denied any wrongdoing and said he would appeal the ruling.
