Tunisian Minister of International Cooperation Riadh Bettaieb said that Kuwait and Tunisia are very keen to boost up joint investment and development projects.
For his part, Kuwait Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah said that the relations with Tunisia are deep-rooted and distinguished, noting that the two countries celebrated the 50th anniversary of their relations last year.
The Kuwaiti official, who was received by Tunisian foreign minister Rafeeq Abdussalam and Minister of International Cooperation Riadh Bettaieb, said he was honored to represent His Highness the Amir to the Tunisian celebrations.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, due to meet President Moncef Marzouqi and Prime Minister Hamadi Jabali, said Kuwait established investments in Tunisia many years ago.
He said Kuwait was looking forward for new agreements with Tunisia.Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled said the Tunisian community in Kuwait was contributing to development in the Gulf country and Kuwait was grateful for them.
Relations between the two countries are based on mutual confidence and there are deep-root interests joining them, noted the minister.
