Kuwait Oil Co. (KOC) seeks bids to build a water-treatment and injection plant to help boost crude production in the country’s north, according to sources. The water-injection project is to maintain pressure and production levels for the Sabriya and Raudhatain fields in northern Kuwait and collect effluent water . After treatment, the water would be injected into about 150 wells.
14 prequalified contractors include Foster Wheeler AG (FWLT:US) from the U.S., Petrofac Ltd. (PFC) of the U.K. and Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co from Korea. It has been said that project bids are due Nov. 17,2013.
