Kuwait Oil company hunts for a consultant; Bids to close on Aug 23.

The Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) is seeking an international technical consultant to assist in providing technical advice in the field of oil exploration and production development, reports Al-Anba daily quoting reliable sources from the oil sector. They explained that the consultant’s scope of work also includes development of heavy oil and shale gas, and any other specialized project in the field of exploration and production as required by the company throughout the contract period, which would last for about five years. KOC is scheduled to invite about 11 international companies to participate in the bidding, which is expected to close on August 23, 2021.

The consulting company is required to provide qualified and experienced manpower for services. The consultants or experts must have the experience and competence necessary to conduct exploration and production activities in the geological, geophysical, petrophysical, petroleum and reservoir engineering fields, through the integration of all exploration and production disciplines.

The consultants and senior specialists must have worked in the major oil sectors and should have extensive project experience in relation to all phases of the E&P cycle from exploration to mature field production as well as unconventional exploration involving oil and shale gas. Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy and the Minister of Social Affairs and Community Development, Dr. Misha’an Al-Otaibi, announced the ministry will now complete visitors’ transactions via the customer services call center No 153.

In a press statement, Minister Al-Otaibi said the ministry, within its orientations towards digital transformation through the automation of its services electronically and the diversification of sources for providing electronic services has adopted and implemented this project to facilitate procedures for various customer segments and concerning electricity and water bills without the need to go to the ministry in person.

He added that the call center provides services such as inquiries about electricity and water bills, entering readings and paying bills, as well as obtaining clearances, receiving requests for meter testing and other services provided by the center through a trained national workforce. Al-Otaibi explained the ministry is continuing to expand towards the automation of its services to provide services to all customers.
