Kuwait has issued a global tender looking for international companies to help develop Entertainment City, a tourism and entertainment city featuring theme parks, a museum and a water park. According to a press release, the mega-scale tender seeks to locate the right partners to take on planning, development, execution, operation, maintenance and investment of Entertainment City.
Al-Diwan Al-Amiri said in the statement that Kuwait hopes to sign up selected partners “at the nearest possible opportunity”.The project, which is part of Kuwait Vision 2035, will support the ongoing efforts of the government to diversity income and revitalise the culture, leisure and tourism sectors in Kuwait.

Other attractions include an activity and entertainment centre for children, a gaming arcade, a snow and ski park, and a multiplex and open-air theatre.
In addition, it will boast a sports centre and museum, as well as public parks and social entertainment areas with landscaped areas and trails.And there’s more. The project will also house villas and apartments, a retail mall, commercial areas, restaurants and an observatory.
Entertainment City is set to be one of the largest projects in the region, covering an area of 2,750 million square meters.Revitalising culture, leisure and tourism in Kuwait. Kuwait Municipal Council recently approved the construction and development of Entertainment City, accepting the decision of Council of Ministers for Amiri Diwan to take over the project.
The current Entertainment City was established in 1984 in the Al-Doha area. It’s hoped the new attraction will entice tourists and enhance the tourism offering of Kuwait.
The deadline for the Entertainment City tendering and bidding process is February 27. The tender number is AD/32/2019-2020.
