There is coordination between the Health Insurance Hospitals Company and Ministry of Health to offer the health insurance for expatriates beginning from 2020.This will be following the opening of the Dhaman hospitals purposely built to cater to expatriates and their families.
The same sources say the health insurance cover for each individual will be KD 130. It will include expatriates and their children working in the private sector. The value of Insurance will cover the tests, X-rays and other treatments.
However, the law does not define the body that will take the charge of offering the healthcare to the expatriate visitors when Dhaman hospitals begin operation.
The sources said that there is a media plan which will be announced in time to explain the mechanism of health insurance and treatment, noting that the current price in the Dhaman clinics is equivalent to the private health sector.
