Kuwait will look to cut the amount of visit visas issued to families in order to curb the amount of begging during Ramadan.
Kuwait Times reports that the Ministry of Interior’s immigration departments has begun reducing the amount of issued family visit visas issued ahead of the holy month.
Officials have put a blanket ban on some nationalities obtaining visas after the ministry discovered an increased in applications from certain countries, whose citizens have previously been caught begging during Ramadan.
The Ministry added that it would immediately deport anyone found begging, particularly those in the vicinity of a mosque.
